October Monthly Roundup | Here's What You May Have Missed This Month

It was Harry's birthday this month so I attempted to make him a Triple Layer Chocolate Orange Birthday Cake, and well, it didn't go as well as I planned!

I ordered such cute Instagram prints from Sticky 9, check out my unboxing here.

We spent the Summer at a couple of different Air BnB apartments, you can read my thoughts on our experience here.

As promised I am trying to get a bit more Disney on the blog, and in my home! Find out How to Get Iconic Disney Scents in Your Living Room.

I got a bit creative and made my own Quick & Easy Washing Line Photo Frame!

We spent the day at Colchester Zoo and vlogged for the first time ever too!

Finally I had more successful baking this month when I baked the delicious Coffee & Walnut Traybake from the one and only Mary Berry's recipe book.

Around the web this month I've loved the Drugstore Beauty Edit over at Vivianna Does Makeup, she has tons of recommendations for the best budget beauty buys in every category.

Scarpehelia wrote about her amazing experience with The Kindness of One in a City of Strangers. I've loved reading about Katie's time in New York but this has to be one of the best tales and her photographs are just stunning too.

If you're like me then you'll be enjoying wearing all the berry tones this Autumn and girls at The Flower That Blooms their super affordable Autumn Lip & Nail Essentials, this season is not going to be good for my bank balance!

I got huge amounts of wanderlust reading about Rosie's (from Cider with Rosie) trip to Paris in her post To the Sacre Coeur! Her photos are beautiful showing the city in all it's Autumnal glory and she left me craving one of the famous hot chocolates from Angelina's. I was in Paris this month last year and now I really want to go back!

Finally Rosie (this time from A Rosie Outlook!) wrote about finding a Hidden Café, namely the Dama Pé De Cabra in Porto. She tells of her fear of empty restaurants (one I'm sure many of us have) but her gamble paid off and she had a lovely experience and reminded me to take a chance on those small family-run restaurants every once in awhile.

That's about it for this month, sorry I have been a bit AWOL but I am working on reconciling that with lot's of blog posts planned. I hope you've all had a fantastic October too!
