Recent Buys | American Eagle Outfitters & Boohoo

This week I treated myself to a few new clothes from American Eagle Outfitters which has finally come to the UK! AEO is my favourite American clothing store and I have brought back huge hauls from their outlet on my last two trips to Orlando. I love their casual style and their jeans are just amazing, they have so many fits and they are really really comfy, I have a skinny pair which are now too big for me and a pair of jeggings which I wear constantly! AEO opened up three new shops at Christmas in Westfield London & Stratford and in Bluewater. We hardly ever go to Bluewater but we thought we'd make the trip last weekend just to got to AEO and get a bit of lunch. I was a little disappointed when we got there are the Bluewater store is nowhere near as big as the Westfield Stratford one which we've been to and it doesn't have an Aerie (AEO's own lingerie brand) in store either. Having said that we still came away with a good haul between us as there were lots of offers on including 40% off most of their clothing. I bought a large baseball style top which was in the sale, it's a bit big on me but I quite like that it's oversized and it is so so soft. I also bought a long cream vest with lace sleeves from their Soft & Sexy range and a navy stripe vest too. I'm not lying when I say they are the softest tops I own!

Also this week I noticed that Boohoo were offering free Next Day Delivery so I decided to have a little browse on their website. I haven't shopped at Boohoo in a couple of years now although I did go through a phase of wearing their skater dresses all the time because they come in so many colours! In the end I was enticed by their offer and the fact that they offer free returns and added a floral skater dress and two skater skirts to my basket. They arrived the next morning so it was really super speedy delivery which I love!

The floral skater dress is just gorgeous I am in love with it! The pattern is really pretty and bright without being too in your face. The skirt is perfect for spinning in, it makes me feel like a Disney Princess! It fits really well, it has a sweetheart style neckline and gathers under the bust so it is very flattering. I'm also really impressed because I bought it in a smaller dress size as I've lost some weight and I really thought it would be too tight and I'd have to wait to wear it but it fits perfectly! To top things off it was only £15.00!

My last two purchases were these skirts. I really like the white skirt with black polka dots (£12.00), as soon as I saw it I knew I had to buy it! It did come with one of those plastic Boohoo belts but I removed it straight away as they aren't the nicest of accessories! I can't wait to wear this skirt but I'm not too sure what to wear it with?! Suggestions on that would be great! I'm not quite so keen on the blue floral skirt (£10.00). The material is shiny, I think they call it a scuba skirt but I'm not really sure what that means, it feel kind of cheap. I quite like the pattern but I'm just not sure about it as a whole. I'm probably going to pick up a few basic tees and vests in Primark to go with these skirts when it gets a bit warmer outside!

That's it for now, although I am dying to buy some new shoes! I've got my eye on a pair of Taylor Swift Keds at the moment but I'm torn between those and some trusty Converses!
